Well, hello long lost friends! Many things have been happening with Travis, the studio and myself in the past few months. I just recently celebrated a birthday, but I have decided after this year I am not willing giving away my age, lol. Dustin and Lindsay tied the knot in Las Vegas while competing at a Fred Astaire Nationals, Yay!! We have two new awsome staff members at the Studio - Brandon Barker and Chelsie Cherie. They are currently Regional Theatre Arts Champions and I am sure everyone will being seeing a lot more of them! Angie and my brother Patrick are getting Married in July and I am Maid of Honor (OHhhhhhh, just so many things to tell) and nooott to mention we have an exciting Champagne Guest Party this Friday the 21st of May! Its Travis’s Birthday!!! Today Was An awesome Day(or actually yesterday by now) due to the celebration of Birth for Mr. Travis Manero. We ventured to Cleveland to see The Christmas Carol at the Ohio Playhouse Theatre which I thought was decent entertainment. We then ate at a great off the beaten path resturant called the Fat Cat. All in all it was a fun day.

Something else I think everyone should know is our studios Christmas Showcase “Christmas from the Silver Screen” will be play this coming Sat Dec.19th in Columbiana. Call the studio to get your tickets ahead of time! There will be pro/am and professional numbers as well as skits and singing from Former Miss Ohio Amanda Beagle.

This coming Wednesday Travis, Dustin, Lindsey and I will be going to Orlando, FL for the Fred Astaire Nationals. We are super stoked that we also have going Hank and Maryann Markowitz competing as an amaeture couple, as well as with Dustin and I in pro-am. Travis’s student Leeha Thompson will also be competing in pro-am and will be performing her solo! So wish us all luck and pray that the sun will be shining cause I sure haven’t seen any in at least a month!

Dear Friends of Webland,

I know it has been a while since our last post! I KNOW what you are thinking, “Kristin you lied, you said you wouldn’t wait this long again”… so to everyone I am sorry from the bottom of my heart:) There has been so many awesome things going on and the studio really has been rocking and rolling,so the blog has slipped a little:-/ Now, I am going to do my best and play catch… only today it will be in a list formate:)

1.) Travis and I are the current title holders of FADS 2 Time American Rhythm Champions.

2.) My student Allan Hyde won Top Gentlemen B at The Buckeye Ball Competition!  Travis’s Students Leesha Thompson won Top Youth along with Bethany Fenstermaker winning Top Lady A! Go Team Youngstown!

3.) I am now certified in Zumba! I had my first class 2 weeks ago and it was the bomb.com, thanks everyone for coming.For all the rest of you,  it will be held every Tuesday at 6:45 and its only 5 dollars! HOLLA!

4.)Chantel LeClerc will be at our studio for coaching and group classes. She is an amazing female coach and has worked wonders on me.

5.) MY BROTHER IS ENGAGED!!!! CONGRATULATIONS PAT & ANGIE!

6.) The Steelers won there first game, as we all knew would happen:)

7.)God is Good and I am sooo blessed to be able to do what I love and enjoy life:)

First off, I would like to say Congratulations to my dance partner Travis for recently becoming Co-owner of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Boardman, OH! The energy there, with all the staff and students, is already so high I know we are going to ROCK! Secondly I am so excited to announce Jonathan Roberts will be coming to our studio this coming Friday for coaching and group classes! Last but not least Travis and I will be competing this weekend in Cincinnati DanceSport then the following weekend at the Buckeye Ball in Columbus, OH along with our students:) SO, pray for us:) Anways,I really feel so blessed to be apart of these exciting new changes. All I really can do is thank the lord because he truely is the reason for the season!

What can I say, this season of So You Think You Can Dance ROCKS! Everyone is an amazing dancer  weather it is due to their technique or performance value. I have at least 4 dancers I LOVE, I LOVE and would pay to watch in a show! The only thing that is disappointing is the lack of good ballroom dancers this season. The Salsa dancer I am impressed with and seems to understand the concept of most styles even though she claims to have NO ballroom training??? This past episode I especially enjoyed due to the unique and colorful mind of Mia Michaels. Check it out this girl is amazing and I enjoyed the creepiness of the male.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Michael Jackson. Anyone who knows me knows that Michael has been a huge influence and inspiration to me. I would not even be a dancer if it wasn’t for him. Michael was and always will be a huge part of my life. I thank God for sharing him with us and I don’t blame him for wanting him back.

This past weekend we had Elena Grienko come to our studio and coach. Not only was she an awesome coach but a sweet and funny person. We had coaching with her last year at the Canton Fred Astaire(which was great) so it was nice to see her in action with our students and helping them with their technique. THANKS AGAIN ELENA and we hope to have you back:)
